Hershey is about an hour away, as is Gettysburg. Baltimore and Philly are 2-3 hours depending on traffic. Harrisburg has several museums as well.

On post, YS has activities, clubs, lessons, and before and after school care. There?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s the pool, bowling alley, and theater too. Most of the YS activities are for kids in grade 6 and up.

Youth Services generally has a decent amount of activities for the kids ages 10 and up. Since this post mostly services the Army War College students, and their kids tend to be older, the kid activities tend to trend that way as well. There?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s usually a trip to Hershey for the older kids at some point in the year. They did add some things like a tumble time through the CDC this year for the preschool set.

For the last 2 years now, preschool has been held in the afternoons for the 3 year old class. If your child still naps, you may want to look for a morning option off post.

The chapel holds a fun vacation bible school each summer. The theme varies year to year. Ages 3 to,I think, 6th grade.
