Kari S. says: Hurlburt has YP FCC and the CDC on base which offer many activities for kids. The base also has a nice park splash pad pool bowling alley and movie theater. There are many activities off base as well. On the weekends you will find most people at the beach in either Navarre or Destin. Festivals are common on the weekend as well boat rentals (which the base offers) dolphin cruises water park and the family fun complex.

On post there is a indoor play area with bowling alley I believe its $4.00 for 2 hours thats just for the play area not the bowling alley. The library does story hours and during the summer they do a summer reading program. Also there are several pools. In Colombus, there is a monkey joes which has indoor inflatables, there is a Hollywood connection and chuckie cheeses which isnt the nicest chuckie cheeses but it works. Lots to do if you have kids in this area.

There is so much to do in Columbus and nearby for families! You can visit the Columbus Art Museum, Botanical Garden, Oxbow Meadows, Coca-cola Space Science Center, BareWare Pottery, Port Columbus, National Infantry Museum, Callaway Gardens- Pine Mt, Butts Mill Farms ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú Pine Mt, Wild Animal Safari ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú Pine Mt, Westville ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú Lumpkin, Wild Adventures ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú Valdosta. Columbus also has a minor league baseball team, hockey team, and arena football. If that?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s still not enough, then head into Atlanta (about 2 hrs to city center) to see it all; the GA Aquarium, Imagine It! Kids Museum, MLK Center, Zoo Atlanta, World of Coca-Cola, CNN Center, History Museum, High Art Museum, as well as professional football, baseball, and hockey. It seems like a lot, huh? But I didn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t even list it all?¢‚Ǩ¬¶so go out, explore and have fun!!!
