This base has NO hospital. Kimbrough Medical Care Center is on post and is in charge of general health. Anyone who's pregnant(with Tricare Prime) has to go to Bethesda Naval Hospital which at any given moment is 1&1/2 hrs away at best(3hrs at worst) This is slightly personal but ladies should know......... I got my IUD(Mirena) at Bethesda and it was really easy and pain free BUT a few friends of mine got their's at Kimbrough and had a lot of pain and said it was a horrible experience. Personally if you have a female matter to take care of then then go to Bethesda.------------ I have only been to one dentist Batz and Weiner in Laurel MD and they were terrible. They were very unfriendly and the doctor didn't say anything to me except that I needed an oral surgeon for my wisdom teeth. With that being said my oral surgeon Maryland Oral Surgery Associates in Laurel MD was GREAT! The office staff was polite and personable. -------Kelly N
