Housing on installation?

I am in government housing but not on post. My husband and I actually looked at housing on post and it was horrible. The place was a four bedroom apt/condo. The rooms were so small you could barely fit a queen mattress in the room and if you did then you would couldn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t put a wardrobe in the room. The windows had no blinds or curtains covering them. The lighting was very dated. It was basically a barracks where the knocked down some walls. The only thing I liked about it was the kitchen. The kitchen was huge and updated way more then the rest of the place.
Housing off installation?
I live off post but in a government house. We live in Erbendorf, Germany, which is about 15-20mins from post. The houses are awesome. To be honest, all the houses I have seen that are government housing off post make the ones on post look completely run down. Most of the housing is maybe at most 5-6 years old and they are nice. It might be a drive to post but in the long run I feel it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a lot better. Plus, we have a yard for our son to play in and a garage.

Housing on installation?

On post is what is called ?¢‚Ǩ?ìstairwell housing?¢‚Ǩ¬ù. It is basically apartments. The off post military housing known as Netzaberg (where we live) is wonderful. Ours is a 3 story house with living room, bathroom, kitchen, dining room on the 1st floor, 2nd floor is 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom. 3rd floor is master bedroom, master bathroom, and storage. There is a basement, storage room, and large laundry room below the 1st floor.

Just to forewarn spouses moving to Grafenwoehr, you cannot actually get on the waiting list for housing until you get to Germany. It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s part of your army spouse?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s in-processing.

Hello! I had sent an email with someone in regards to housing in Graf and he told me what i needed to email him so we could get on the waiting list before arriving. we have all paperwork done due to the fact my husband is taking leave before we go.
