We stayed at Kirtland AFB one night during our cross-country PCS. The base lodging was some of the nicest I’ve seen in the Air Force!! Just short of the lodging offered at the Air Force Academy.
The area around the base, as usual, is completely ghetto but it’s right near Albuquerque NM which looks like it has a lot to do

Have been here since OCT 2009. The weather is great, we came from Germany where it rains a lot, but it was hard to get used to the high desert climate. Lots of stuff to do and see here!
