Housing on installation?
Tinker has only within the last 5 years gone from Government housing to private, this is now a BBC housing base ( Balfour Betty). I live on base in the old unremodeled housing and it really is not anything to get excited over. The new houses though are very pretty and well spaced as well as the newly remodeled older housing. Housing wait list as of now is sitting firm at 6-8 month wait for on base maybe longer if you are a larger family.
Housing off installation?
Almost all of the familes here migrate towards Moore or Edmond if they live off base.Moore schools are some of the best schools in the state of OK and house prices are very reasonable to buy if that is what you are in to. Mid West has less then great schools and so does Del City. Also both of the last two mentioned towns are on the older rundown side of things with closed down malls and run down neighborhoods leading to a bit of a ?¢‚Ǩ?ìtrashy?¢‚Ǩ¬ù look.
