We would have been authorized a one bedroom because we don't have kids. My friend and her hub and kid were on the list for over 1 1/2 years we were on the list for 14 months. We lived on the East side at first and then we lived on the NorthEast side. The East side is conveniant if you like to shop. The NorthEast is older and tends to flood when (not often) they have rain and is not located around the major shopping areas. You are also going to want to consider if he is going to be on Bliss East Bliss (Biggs) or at Beaumont when figuring out where to live IF you want to be closer to where he will be working.

There is a FB page "COL Joe wants to know" that is the garrison commander of Bliss and there is always good info. Plus you can get links to other FB pages about Bliss from there.
