The schools on base are Anchorage District, not DOD. I personally feel like they teach differently than the DOD school we dealt with in the past. I prefer DOD. I hear Aurora is the best, then Orion. These are Elementary schools. They really do push the kids to do more, which is good. They are learning a lot.

There are a lot schools in the area. Two primary schools on post with high schools just outside post. however, a lot of parents home-school here and it is a pretty good program. There are several colleges in the area as well with a few campuses.

But, I am not really sure about the Army side of base. I know that there are some Army kids that go to the same school as my daughter, so the Army kids might get bused to these schools on Elmendorf.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù

?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú?¢‚Ǩ¬ùMy daughter goes off base to WonderPark Elementary. Not sure what they have on FT Rich as we are on Elmemdorf. Call the Anchorage School District and they can get you in contact with the correct person that is what I did. Also talk with your sponsor they should have information or be able to get information for you.
