Tammy B says: They just opened up a new school on post for K-8. If you live on post your high school age students have to attend Beach High School which is horrible. You can do an administrative placement and put your child in a different school but you have to provide transportation.

There are no schools on post here although they are building an elementary school. The high school that children have to attend off post is horrible. You can try for administrative placement with the school board to get your child placed in another school but you do have to provide transportation.

Georgetown Elementary and Pulaski Elementary where both great schools. My kids constantly succeeded and the teachers were quick to jump in and provide help in an area of study if they saw my son struggling with anything.

i attended columbia college on post.they are small but located there and at fort stewart for in seat classes.they are very affordable, and have all types of scholarships for military spouses.they have online classes too.in case anyone is worried about having to move in the middle of going to school.you can finish in seat early with the schools approval, and register for the next semester online and continue anywhere in the world.i love that school so much, and still attend online though we are not in georgia anymore.we have a baby, she is not school age yet.cannot comment on the schools there other than what i heard from word of mouth, sorry.

We live on post at HAAF and the one thing I hate is that our daughter has to attend Beach High School. It is an awful school, the classes they offer, even as AP classes, do not challenge the kids like she is used to having. I have explored every option out there and other than getting a second job to afford a private school there is nothing!! The military overall needs to realize that in today?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s military you have people staying in longer and the ones coming in have older kids so more attention needs to be made for the teenagers.
