We live on post in old housing which is not the best, very small, no storage. We were lucky and did not have to wait, we got a house the same day my husband signed in. Not thrilled with the housing management.

Housing on installation? Our experience with housing at Hunter was pretty decent. We had pretty new housing and it was spacious. The attached garage and fenced in backyard were definite pluses. Maintenance responded fairly quickly to work orders.

Housing off installation?
Before we moved on post, we lived in the Georgetown housing area of Savannah. For my husband, it was about a 15 minute drive in the morning and about a 30 minute drive home. Afternoon traffic is horrible on Hwy 204.

We live in the old housing in a 2 bedroom. While it is older it is better than what we had at Ft. Hood. Storage though is not so great. Our kitchen is actually twice the size of what we had and we have an actual dining area and living room which down at Ft. Hood was combined and was in such a way you really couldn?「どィび「t use any of it as a dining area.

I lived offpost and onpost at HAAF. At HAAF they offer both new and old housing. Most families with 2 or more children qualified for the new housing depending on the ages and gender. I lived in the new housing in New Gannam and liked it alot. The floors downstairs were made of Pergo or fake wood tiles. The kitchens were nice with nice white appliances and glass top stoves. Closet space was amazing both up and downstairs . The bedrooms were roomy and our yards were fenced in. My house also had 2.5 bathrooms.
