Housing on installation?

I do not live on base. The wait list is very long, but from what I have seen, the housing is very nice. It ranges from stairwell housing to townhouses with garages. The service at housing did not seem to be of much help. Most people have to live off base because the wait list is so long.

Housing off installation? I would recommend finding a place to live that is 20 minutes or less from this installation. Anything farther out than that can become an easy regret when the winter months come. The small towns surrounding the area are filled with a lot of local nationals and are often not ?¢‚Ǩ?ìamericanized?¢‚Ǩ¬ù like other towns that are populated with a lot of americans. Germans don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t count all rooms as a possible bedroom, so if you are looking at a listing for the number of bedrooms you want try the amount of one less room as well. For example, if you are looking for a 3 bedroom house or apartment, don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t just look for 3, look for 2 bedroom houses/apts as well and take the time to visit them. If you don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t like snow and ice, then don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t get a place on a hill. even the slightest hill will make a big difference. When listings refer to Garden, they are referring to a backyard in our case. The germans just call it a garden. So a shared garden is a shared backyard, for ex ample.
