Housing on installation?
Housing on Laurel Bay, to be quite honest, is awful. They?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re in the process of remodeling the insides of the homes?¢‚Ǩ¬¶.but at a snails pace & w/sub par materials & contractors. The homes are more than 60 yrs old & upon closer inspection you can see the sub par additions/improvements made. There is lead paint inside/outside of most homes still. The landscapers put little effort into their jobs?¢‚Ǩ¬¶.you will be cleaning up after them & doing some work yourself. The work order staff is an absolute joke most of the time. I equate it to a 3 stooges movie?¢‚Ǩ¬¶.a bunch of retirees who do a half ass job then leave or they say they don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t have the part & will come back later or tomorrow & for the majority of the time they don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t. Bugs are a huge problem in the spring/summer. Be prepared to be over run w/sand fleas, spiders & roaches. Doesn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t matter how clean you are they still come inside to cool off. Speaking of cooling off?¢‚Ǩ¬¶.most air condition units only c ool off small parts of your home. You can request window units, but be prepared to jump through hoops to justify your need. They actually have a senior staff manager ?¢‚Ǩ?ìreview?¢‚Ǩ¬ù your request, schedule tests of your home & Hope that you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll give up after the frustrations & length of time this process takes. The ?¢‚Ǩ?ìhousing communitys?¢‚Ǩ¬ù events are mostly a waste of time. I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢d equate it to a 3rd grade class school play. Oh & they started charging for electric on this base In January?¢‚Ǩ¬¶a lot of people are complaining about over billing. Check out the housings face book page. Go back to January 2011 & browse the comments for a better grasp of this issue.
