Total die hard fan of the schools on the East side of Great Falls. :) I lived in Great Falls in high school when my dad was stationed there, and then every other tour for the past 17 years with my husband.
Lewis and Clark Elementary has the best parent participation and has won awards for this at the state level. (It is a few miles from the base.) Chief Joseph has been rated as the number one elementary school in the coty according to surveys and testing. (It is the second closest school to the base.) Loy Elementary is the school for the base children, and it is quite good.
The Great Falls schools are some of the best in the nation. The town is quite divided though with the high school rivalry! You are either for one high school or the other (both are good, but I of course, would always say Great Falls High is the best. )

Our kids attended Loy elementary which is backed up against the base and there is a back gate for the walkers to use. Loy feeds into North Middle School and north feeds into C.M. Russell High School. If you ever get an assignment to Malmstrom try to find schools that feed into North and CMR the East side of Great Falls doesn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t have the best schools or greatest areas to live. JMHO though:)
