For little kids there are few activities. Annapolis and DC are less than an hour and a half away but it just feels like they are so much farther. Pax River is very removed from the metropolitan areas.----- The Marine Museum in Solomons offers an hour or two of indoor entertainment. Plus they have seals you can watch swim around outside. ----- The Jumpyard is a good place to go on bad-weather days but it gets crowded.------ The libraries offer story times through the year.----- The St. Mary's County Recreation and Parks offer a variety of classes in particular a gymnastics program that is excellent though a bit pricey. -----Betsy M.
