Base housing here is pretty interesting. There are so many different neighborhoods and different types of houses, and much of it depends on your rank, bedroom requirements, what?｢どｨび｢s available, etc. Because there isn?｢どｨび｢t a whole lot of room for housing here, a lot of the homes are some sort of multiplex, there are only a handful of houses on base that are single family homes. The area of Cornwall/ Cornwall on Hudson is one of my favorites, but it?｢どｨび｢s smaller, and rentals in the area can be hard to find and pricey. Newburgh isn?｢どｨび｢t too far away, but you couldn?｢どｨび｢t pay me to live there. Shopping in the town isn?｢どｨび｢t bad, but I just got lost in the city limits and thought I was going to get shot. Crime is horrible there. There is a distinction between the town of Newburgh and the city of Newburgh, but it?｢どｨび｢s all the same school district and too close for my comfort. The area of Central Valley/Monroe is pretty nice, and the school districts are some of the best in the state. Fort Montgomery is close to the base and small and quaint, as well as New windsor and Vail?｢どｨび｢s Gate.
