We are north of Yongsan. I know all of our high school students commute to Yongsan and love it. Julie's Realty is USFK approved and does a lot of the housing for the posts. The website is Juliesrealty.com. Also there are a ton of things to do around you. We go to Seoul often. Hope that helps. Sorry I don't know anything about elementary schools. Annyeonghi gaseyo

P.S. Most people want to learn to speak Korean. You are better off learning how to read and write it. For some reason no matter how you say it you will be wrong. lol I am an ESL teacher at a Korean school I'm never right.

People love the schools on post. I have a daughter in high school there. The schools are cslled Seoul American.....Elem middle or HS--you can google info. My friend is a 5th grade teacher there and loves it. As for housing some areas on post are available depending on the pcs-ing. A lot of people live right off post in the high rise Apartment buildings there are very nice. You have City Park Trump World Lotte Castle Brownstones. A lot of people choose off post since the housing is bigger. All OHA is applied to the housing so..people tend to choose the best they can get for the family size/housing amnt. The perk to living on post there is the main. bills of course it's covered. Off post you have to pay gas and a maint. bill which includes energymanagementgardeners etc. it's kind of like a homeowners association fee in a sense. You will get a certain amount towards utilities but you usually have to pay more. Electricity usage is high here. We live off post in Casey which is north of Seoul we love it but hate the utility bills. Korea is very safe and the people are really friendly. It's very easy to get settled in if you're stationed in Yongsan. It's the big post in Seoul.
